For Irene, what began as a dream ended up as a resounding success more than 70 years later.
est. in 1955
Irene’s Catering Service began in 1955 with a simple party and a big idea. Irene Rewolinski, a natural entertainer and talented cook, hosted a gathering in her Milwaukee home. When a guest suggested she try catering wedding receptions, a spark was lit — and Irene’s Catering was born.
Word quickly spread about Irene’s delicious food and personal touch, and what started as a small side business soon blossomed into a full-fledged family operation. In the mid-1960s, Irene’s son Tom took the reins and spent the next four decades growing the business while keeping his mother’s values and vision at its core.

Today, Irene’s Catering is led by Tom’s oldest son, Tim, along with a dedicated team of chefs, wedding coordinators, administrative staff, and event professionals. From elegant weddings to unforgettable corporate events, we’ve built a reputation for exceptional service and cuisine — and we’re just getting started.
